Brady Seals, The Judds, Love & Theft

Here is all of the exciting news from country music to hit my inbox in the last few days:

Singer/songwriter Brady Seals returns to the country music forefront claiming the #1 radio download spot last week for his new single, the playful “Ho Down”. The one-time frontman for Little Texas and Hot Apple Pie prepares to release his new solo album, Play Time, on August 18 with a strong team in place and a busy CMA Music Fest schedule.

Look for Brady to ride in the 2009 Kick-Off Parade on Wednesday, June 10; sign in three booths: Digital Rodeo Booth #217 at 3 pm on Thursday, June 11; the Chevy Booth #517 at 1 pm and the GAC Booth #200 at 4 pm both on Saturday, June 13. Brady Seals will perform on the Hard Rock stage at 6 pm on Friday, June 12 and participate in the 2009 Ride for a Cure event on Sunday, June 14 which benefits the T.J. Martell Foundation.

Not all good things come to an end. The Judds, one of country music’s most awarded and beloved duos of our time, are the perfect example. Credited with “single-handedly saving country music” according to Time Magazine, Wynonna and Naomi Judd will pay homage to their fans and their illustrious career by transforming a vacant building – formerly occupied by Gray’s Drug Store at 332 Main St in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee – into a museum highlighting the 25th Anniversary of their career in music.

Opening Thursday, June 11th, through Sunday, June 14th, the museum hours will coincide with the CMA Music Fest which officially kicks off tomorrow. The museum will be open from 9am – 6pm on June 11 – 13 and noon – 4pm on June 14. Wynonna and Naomi will make a special appearance together to sign autographs from 1 – 3pm on Saturday, June 13th. Wristbands will be issued June 11th and 12th to secure a position in the autograph line Saturday afternoon.

Love And Theft members Brian Bandas, Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles wrote or co-wrote all eleven songs on their debut album, World Wide Open. The project is co-produced by Robert Ellis Orrall and Jeff Coplan.

After opening shows for Taylor Swift in 2008, Love And Theft is currently on the road meeting country radio and promoting their debut single, “Runaway.” The band’s debut CD, World Wide Open, will release August 25th.
