Rascal Flatts ARE “UNSTOPPABLE”

Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh!

Those are the ONLY words that I have after the night I had tonight.   The cheesy grin on my face in this picture should say it all!  : )

I won a trip to see a private Rascal Flatts dress rehersal show with only 40 other contest winners at the Verizon Center in St. Louis tonight. We had the entire place to ourselves.  Just 40 new friends and Rascal Flatts.  It was the the most AMAZING thing that I have ever done in my LIFE.

Rascal Flatts are by far the BEST entertainers that I have ever seen and tonight proved it for me (and the other 39 people that were there).

Rascal Flatts are bringing their A game and will NOT disappoint their fans on their “Unstoppable” tour this year. It is the same high energy show that fans always know they can expect with a few REALLY great surprises.

From the time the show starts until the encore is over you will not be able to sit down.  Gary, Jay and Joe Don make sure to keep you entertained, clapping and dancing along with all of their favorite hits.  They are playing a longer set list that includes many of our new favorites from “Unstoppable”.

Seriously, head over to www.rascalflatts.com RIGHT NOW and find out when they will be in your city.

To all of the Country Music Association members who sit in an office to decide Entertainer of the Year —- RASCAL FLATTS ARE ENTERTAINERS OF THE YEAR.  Take notice and listen to the fans.  They love what they do, they are AMAZING at it and we will always come back for more as long as they keep doing what they are doing.

St. Louis – watch out!  Tomorrow is going to be out of this world.

Thank you to Rascal Flatts, Lyric Street records, The Big 98 (www.wsix.com) and JD Haas Entertainment (http://www.jdhe.com/) for a trip of a LIFETIME!  I will NEVER forget it.

If you are attending an upcoming Rascal Flatts show we want to hear from you.  Email us your reviews, pictures and stories from the “Rascal Flatts American Living Unstoppable Tour”.

  2. Pamela says:

So glad you a great time. And amen for your entertainer of the year comments. They have always been the best concert by far. I can’t wait for the show tomorrow night. Will email you when I get home from the show.

  3. Miranda says:

Great pictures and it sounds like the most amazing night ever. Thank you for sharing. I can not wait to see them in Cincinnati in August. That sounds so far away!

I’m sorry, but I don’t see where Rascal Flatts are the best entertainers. They didn’t sing very good live when I saw them. The were not well liked in Atlanta about 1 year ago. Maybe they’ve had singing and harmony lessons since then.

  5. KA says:

Wow, I must say I’m normally not a jealous person…but I am jealous you got to have such an amazing experience! Congrats on winning the contest, too.
Lioness: YOU may not thin k the boys sing well live…but millions of other fans do, judging by their album, download and concert ticket sales. They are all amazingly gifted singers, songwriters, and musicans, and I, among millions of others, adore them for who they are. (: There has to be much more to an artist /group than singing ability, and this band has it all Think about legends like Maddona , Britney Spears and Bob Dylan, for example. I doubt anyonr ever called them amazing singers, but they all had undeinable impact on the music industry as a whole.
As for those Altlanta fans…You win some , you lose some, it’s the same with EVERY artist out there,

And I doubt the guys need singing or harmony lessons…Obviously their fans think they are GREAT the way they are, otherwise they wouldn’t be setting dowload or album sales records while selling out venues left and right.

Well, KA, you’re entitled to your opinion as I am, but why have they only been nominated for EOTY one time and have never won it? I think today’s youth do not really care for good singing(live singing that is)…they just go for who is popular…another example, Taylor Swift. Things have really changed and it’s more about the money(quantity versus quality). RFs just does not put out the kind of music that will be remembered years from now…such as artist like George Strait that was just named Artist of the Decade. RFs, TS….pop singers….that will never be considered real country singers. They mostly appeal to young fans, because that’s who buys most of the albums/cds and does the downloading and attends their concerts. I for one do not in no way consider Madonna a legend, she’s more of a joke, as is Britney Spears….not very good examples to prove your point..just more examples of pop music and popularity! I would consider Bob Dylan a legend in his own right and in no way does Rascal Flatts belong in the same category with him, but not a country singer either. RFs are Pop singers and that’s where they should be. Glad you like them, but I’m so glad I don’t!

  7. KA says:

Lioness- Although the guys HAVE only been nominated for Entertainer once, it doesn’t mean they are undeserving, or don’t work hard enough to recieve such an award. Although the WINS in this category are fan AND industry voted, the nominations are not. It is a well-known fact to us RF fans that the industry DOES NOT favor them to win awards, or even garner nominations. It is also well-known that many awards use a proccess known as “block voting; ” it basically means the bigger the record label, the more votes you can get for your artist. Lyric Street isn’t a big label at all, and it is probable, that this factor, along with the “pop” and political sides of awards shows, could be the reasons for little award recognition.

  8. KA says:

I don’t know why the cannot win in this category, but again, there are politics and block voting going on everywhere, and I’m sure that plays a role. I’ve heard rumors that the guys didn’t get a nomination because the promoters thought they were trying to “buy votes” by offering their fans a free download for doing so. While I don’t know if this is true, this could’ve put them on the “bad side” of Nashvile excutives for a very long time. Seeing that they aren’t favored by the industry to begin with, this could’ve given the big wigs a chance to continue their dislike for RF’s music.

  9. KA says:

I don’t mean to be a pest here, but there are PLENTY of videos I could show you that prove the raw, natural talent these three guys have. Many chose to think they are a manufactered, studio band; if you really took the time to check them out on youtube or in an acoustic, accapella setting this would probably be disproven. As for TS..No, she isn’t a good singer, BUT she obviously has a deeply profound connection with her audience, and many relate to her music. In order to survive in the music business, you need to have something unique and special; as proven with RF and TS, it doesn’t always have to be the voice. RF has found that deep, profound formula that makes them unique and loved by so many, judging by their ever- growing success.

  10. KA says:

As for them not having memorable songs…may I recommend a few? These Days, My Worst Fear, Like I Am, I Melt, Mayberry, Skin, Bless The Broken Road, What Hurts The Most, He Ain’t the Leaving Kind, She Goes All The Way, Why and I’m Movin On. Just because these songs may not be legendary does not mean that they are not timeless to RF fans. Many artists in Nashvile and in genral are putting out disposable, forgettable material, and RF should not be soley blamed. You say they aren’t considered “real” country? No one is “real country these days anyway; the days of Waylon, Cash, and Lynn are long gone, and not one artist should take all the blame for it. “Real ” country now IS TS, Swift, UNderwood, and many more; it will never be back to the same sound it was. Real country is anything that tells a story and touches the heart. I wasn’t trying to prove a point with any examples I gave…trying to show you that these are examples of sub-par singers who have made extrodinary careers for themselves based on mediocre singing; obviously their music means something to millions. WHy did you see them in concert if you don’t like them??

  11. Julia says:

I agree COMPLETELY with Lioness…I’ve seen them live three times now, and never enjoyed it one bit. I used to be a big fan, but after seeing them live, I completely lost respect for them, because Gary was off EVERY time I saw them. I also disagree with what you said about there not being “real country” these days. There IS real country out there still, it’s just being downplayed by the popularity of the pop-country crap these days. Oh well, we’re all entitled to our opinions, right? but it looks like you had lots of fun, I’m so excited for you that you got to go since you’re a rascal flatts fan! :) Looks like you had the time of your life!

  12. Country Girl says:

Sorry for jumping in on all of these comments so late…I have been on the road most of the day coming home from St. Louis. LOOK – we are all entitled to our own opinions here. CMTT welcomes everyone and loves it when our topics get hot like this. There is no need to go round and round. A special thanks to KA though for stepping up and showing what a real fan is! Personally I will FOREVER love and stand behind Rascal Flatts. I have been to so many concerts that I have finally lost count – ok not really – 17 shows in the last 5 years. Believe me – I would not have continued to go to their concerts if they didn’t sound good live. Gary, Jay and Joe Don are not only AWESOME to their fans but they have AMAZING talent and people WILL remember who they are. They are breaking records that were set by legends in the industry and are still going strong. I say bravo and keep doing what your doing. You can’t always make everyone happy. Most of the haters just don’t like their “type” of music – has nothing to do with the talent and harmony they possess. Please don’t get me started on this whole “new country” and “old country” debate. I’m too tired right now. I LOVE YOU RASCAL FLATTS~! You are Unstoppable in my book.

  13. KA says:

Thanks for the defense, countrygirl! I try to defend the guys every chance I get because, like you, I think they are incredibly talented and amazing to their fans. So many people DON’T jump to their defense, but I am ready and willing every time. I agree they aren’t the best live singers- BUT I’ve seen them in concert, and, in my opinion, Gary has one of the greatest voices out there. It’s not huge or deep, just sweet and simple- there’s something about his voice that has a mezmorizing qualty, I think, \I admire EVERYTHING they have accomplished and I will never stop supporting them. I think it’s sick they don’t get the attention they truly deserve- they get no respect from the industry, which is absolutely horrible considering all they have done.
Jule, not trying to change your opinion, but I could reccomend SEVERAL performances that Gary is spot-on and flawless- they are out there, and I’ll be happy to point them out if you like.

  14. KA says:

Countrygirl, is there any way to embed videos on this blog? I’d happilly post some recent RF performances I think others night enjoy.

  15. Jackie says:

    Hi!

  16. Country Girl says:

Hey Jackie! It was great meeting you and everyone else on the trip. It really was a trip of a lifetime wasn’t it! I don’t think anything that I ever do again can top that night! Rascal Flatts are amazing….. : )
