My namesake, Tanya Tucker, is back with new music.  Her new album, My Turn, will be released June 30th, 2009 (my birthday…coincidence?  I think not).  The album will take classic male country songs, and give them a female voice.

“I picked the songs my daddy always wanted me to sing,” explains Tucker. “This is really a tribute to him because he was with me throughout my entire career. He’s now with God above but I know he’s watching over me still and loving these songs and this record.”

This should be interesting.  Tanya was once an iconic figure in country music…But, she’s been away for a while.
