Steve Martin’s Grand Ole Opry Debut

Amy Grant and Vince Gill  performed with actor, comedian and banjo player Steve Martin Saturday night at the Grand Ole Opry along with John McEuen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Steve performed songs from his brand new music album, “The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo.”

Saturday’s performance was not only the realization of a dream for Steve Martin, it was a homecoming of sorts. From the Opry stage, Steve Martin talked about one of his earliest comedy gigs at Nashville’s Exit/In in the 1970s. Steve has played the banjo since he was 17 years old.
