Has-been country singer Doug Supernaw has been in and out of the news since his career took a deep and fast nose-dive….Doug’s hits included ” I Don’t Call Him Daddy” and “Not Enough Hours in the Night.”
Since his career’s demise, Doug has been in and out of legal trouble…His rap sheet includes failure to pay child support, assault, public intoxication, and driving while intoxicated….Well, even from the ‘big house’, Doug is stirring up trouble.
The Houston Press ran a story in 2007 about Doug’s bizarre behavior and legal troubles. Now, they are reporting that after a 4 month stay in a mental hospital, Doug was arrested for public intoxication in Utah. It was during this time that some very strange comments were being left on the ‘comment’ secion of their previous article.
“YOU” read the entirety of the first, which was signed “Doug Supernaw from CONOSCO.”
Three minutes later came the second: “John Lomax the in’ fifth or whatever the you are. WRITE ME BACK.” That one was signed “Doug Supernaw from Salt Lake.”
My conclusion is, the ‘Big House’ is no place for a nut-job…They make special facilities for those people.

It’s sad to see that one of my favorite artists has to written in this light. I have read article upon article online about Doug’s run-ins with the law, etc. etc. I am saddened that he is not getting the help he needs. It’s also very upsetting that all everyone talks about is his problems. How about talking about his AWESOME music?! He’s one of the best country singers of our time. Doug, if you’re reading this, please get your life back on track and make some more music – you are missed so much on country radio.
