Our thoughts and prayers are with George Strait’s family today.  The Boot is reporting that his 58 year old brother John, “Buddy” Strait was found dead early Friday morning (April 10) in a hotel room.

The cleaning crew found the body and the Bexar  Country Deputy Office believes he died of natural causes. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed over the weekend to determine the exact cause of death.

George Strait and his family are asking for privacy in the matter.

Dear God, I get so mad at the Candaian Country Music Channel, do you know this is the first time I had heard of this tradgedy, poor George and ofcourse his entire family, I feel so very bad for them all, I appologize for the lateness of this comment but I honestly had no idea, I will keep you in my prayers, these things sure don’t heal quickly, May God Keep You All! I pray you live through the many wonderful memories you have shared through the years. I had heard George speak of spending his Christmases first at his home, then his brothers and so on, so I am sure they have many wonderful memories! RIP
