Ok, so I told you a few weeks ago that “Shuttin Down Detroit” wasn’t my favorite John Rich song but that the new album was great. CMT premiered the video for the song and I must say that I am eating my words. I have a whole new outlook on the song after seeing the video! Watch and tell us what you think.
John Thank you so Much for writing this song. The video is dead on … I have lived here all my life and have experienced the loss of a job that I had for 8 yrs… it sucks man. I have not been able to find work in two years here not even at a fast food restaurant and I have experience. I have been a cook, waitress, cashier, delivered the mail, legal administrative assistant which was my last job… I can’t believe what shape Michigan is in. john…you had me crying thru the song when kris got ditched,love the friend,and I hadn’t been touched by a song this much sine Kellie Pickler’s I WONDER….IT’S FUNNY you two seem to have heart in your songs…she is Country Music’s Princess Idol …and you are Country Music’s I Know What It’s Like To Lose Everything Person who is true to the heart…love you and the detroit song….
