Rascal Flatts Explains “Here Come Goodbye”

I have received so many emails asking me what I think the meaning behind Rascal Flatts new single “Here Comes Goodbye” is.  Well, my answer has changed from the first time I heard the song to when I first laid eyes on the video.  And it seems that each time I watch the video again.  Good thing for me – Joe Don says I’m always right.  Really there is no wrong interpretation.

From The Boot: In the emotion-packed clip, a man and boy seem to be bound for the afterlife, while a grieving woman is shown visiting a cemetery. Still, what’s really happening in the video is left to individual interpretation, and according to guitarist Joe Don Rooney, that’s just how it should be.

“I don’t think anybody’s incorrect in whatever they think,” says Rooney of the video.

LOL – I know that still doesn’t give much of an answer to most of you but hey – who cares what the video is about – the song is amazing and gives me goosebumps.

Rascal Flatts will perform ‘Here Comes Goodbye’ on NBC’s Today show on April 7, the same day the ‘Unstoppable’ CD is released.
