Jimmy Wayne Takes Care of His Fans…Literally

Jimmy Wayne is known for taking good care of his fans. But his past weekend, some fans got more care than they bargained for when Jimmy Wayne literally took it upon himself to help pay for their travel expenses.

…three fans from Escanaba who headed to Bay City to catch Wayne in concert. That’s the Upper Peninsula, getting near the Wisconsin border.

And a few blocks from their destination, their car’s tie-rod blew out, leaving them stranded.

Someone came along, helping them get the car towed to a nearby repair shop. It would take a day to get everything done, they were told, and so another helped them find a good hotel.

With everyone’s help, the three ladies got to the Westown on time to catch Wayne in action. And when Sheltraw heard about their dedication, she took them backstage to meet Wayne in person.

“He heard their story and immediately offered to pay for their repairs,” Sheltraw said. “They told him no, but he insisted on either picking up the repairs or the hotel”

Okay, they weren’t normal travel expenses, but still…Jimmy Wayne obviously really appreciates his fans.  Let’s just hope, for Jimmy’s sake, his fans don’t make a habit of having expensive car repairs on the way to his shows.  The poor guy will be broke.

A big shout-out to Gina for givin us the scoop on the story.  You can read the full article here.
