Thanks to Gina for giving me the heads-up that Jimmy Wayne blogs!   For some reason, I never realized.  Anyhow, he took to his Myspace blog this week to dish about the Extreme Home Makeover experience.

Wow! I never would have imagined there would be so much activity going on behind the scenes. They literally took up 2-4 blocks with motor homes, bulldozers, and Porta-Jons, etc! There were tons of people/volunteers working, even a massage therapist was on site (lots of sore backs). I met a teacher that brought his class/students out to observe. It was kinda like a modern day barn raising!

Jimmy also got some very exciting news while he was driving back to Nashville after helping out at the building site in Alabama.

OMG!! I just got another call from my booking agent (William Morris Agency). I’m opening for one of my all time favorite country singers ever! Alan Jackson!!!! Holy crap holy crap holy crap!!!!! This is so weird! We’re on our way back from Montgomery and Alan’s song “Midnight in Montgomery” is the song that got me listening to country music again! Lol…

Congrats Jimmy!  I am a HUGE Alan Jackson fan.  I know some people don’t dig his fairly traditional style, but he was my all time favorite when I was younger.
