Dierks Bentley is the MAN!!! He is opening for Keith Urban for 2 of his Escape Together World Tour dates. Both shows are on sale this week. Keith’s presale was yesterday. I tried for hours to pull decent tickets through Keith’s fanclub and got nothin!!! I was one unhappy camper to say the least. I mean, I was ticked off enough to unload on the blog.
Today-REDEMPTION! I had to work so my friend Kim went online for Dierks Bentley’s presale. Within 7 minutes she had our 5th row seats in hand! WHAT?! The supporting act had good seats available?! Hmmm…don’t get me wrong…I’m stoked!!! This will be the closest I’ve ever been for a concert…and about 20 rows closer than I’ve ever been for Keith Urban.
On Monkeyville, the news is the same for most people who bought tickets through the supporting acts fanclubs…wow…Isn’t there something wrong with this picture?
Dierks-watch out. Cuz if I win a meet and greet, you’ll be getting a HUGE hug from me. Thank you for taking EXCELLENT care of your fans. We love you man!

Like I said – Dierks will be getting a BIG ol’ hug and a kiss on the cheek from me!! (collections for bail monies will be taken up at a later date! LOL) I have personally witnessed how Dierks takes care of his fan club. It does not matter if it is a hole in the wall wing joint or a big arena where he is not even the “opening” act. It can be done – all that has to happen is for the artist to say – you know what this is my fan club and they deserve to have good seating available and that is how it is going to be if I am playing here… end of story… thank you Dierks for looking out for your fans!! We absolutely LOOOOOVE You! Thanks for being so involved in the little things that sometimes get overlooked that are BIG things to us – the fans!
If i get a meet and Greet for July 10th i want to give Dierks a hug and not be so nervious. Be more talkative. He is such a sweetheart. I felt so bad the first time in 04 when i met him.
We have a friend that scored today too through Dierks’ presale – 3rd row center and 9th row center. Dierks rocks!

Sounds like these bigger named artists could take a lot of lessons from Dierks! I honestly can’t believe that his presale tickets were better than the headliners. just goes to show who really realizes why they are standing on that stage.. THE FANS..its kinda rediculous too, especially when you think about it.. you’re shelling out 82 bucks a pop for a ticket, and Fan Clubbers can’t get a decent seat from the headlining artist? Thats just a load of BS right there!
OK, I got my tix yesterday as well and I am anxious to go to this show. Now what I DON”T get is why everyone is giving Keith grief? I mean do not get me wrong, D is the man, been in his FC for years-but there are like 40x MORE people who are part of Monkeyville compared to Dierks.com—–so simple math-more folks trying to get tickets at the same time equals seats going quiker and the best ones are gone in seconds. What I say is no matter what, the FC presale, no matter the artist will get you the best tickets they have to offer outside of public sale. Try doing the public sale versus any FC sale, you will be in the nosebleeds because again back to simple math-times it by 100 that way-and they will be gone (snap) like that!
Kim-Keith’s fanclub doesn’t save the best seats for his fans…that is a fact…it’s not a guess, it’s not anything….he doesn’t block out seats. Dierks does….Rascal Flatts fanclub has twice as many members as Keith Urban’s and their fans always get the best seats…It’s not about the number of fans or anything…He DOESN’T BLOCK OFF SEATS for his fanclub…It’s obvious it’s not even every third row like the fanclub suggests…not a single fan pulled front floor sections for the Huntsville show.
OK Kim, you said do the math so I did. There are between 31 and 32 thousand members of Keith’s fan club so I’ll round it off to 31,500. All of those fans DO NOT live in one city so ALL of them ARE NOT trying to get tickets to one show at the same time. I know it is over simplifing but lets just devide those 31,500 fans by the approximately 60 shows on his tour. that comes to 525 fans per show. Now if those 525 fans each wanted 2 tickets, that’s 1,050 good seats that should be blocked off just for fan club members; not many when you consider the arenas hold between 15,000 and 20,000 people. If he really wanted to be generous to his fans, which he is not now, he would block out 2,000 goods seats at each show just for his fan club members. I used to be one of those rabid fans that would pay the scalpers prices just to get good seats to Keith’s shows. I guess age has added wisdom because I now realize I was being loyal to an artist that really doesn’t care all the much about how his fans are treated.
