Looks like Keith Urban through us for a loop with titling his new album.  I have to say, I’m not sure I am liking the title.  I think Born to Love fit better, but we’ll see after I hear the album.  Either way,  it definitly fits his live show.  I mean, we are all walkin on air after we leave.   And his tour will be called “Escape Together.”   Keith, I would run away and escape with you anytime…just ask.

All the rumors can finally be put to rest, as Keith has given his forthcoming March 31st CD release a name.  “Defying Gravity” will feature Keith’s 18th Top 10 single “Sweet Thing.”

“I’ve always approached making records as a journey where I just have to let myself go,” said Keith.  “If the conditions are just right the music will reflect the mood and feeling of where I am in my life.”

“Defying Gravity comes from the lyrics of a song on the album and it just struck me at the time as a phrase that really defined the joyous, optimistic and uplifting spirit that seemed to show itself while making the album.”  

2009 is shaping up to be a busy one for Keith.  This May will mark the launch of his “Escape Together World Tour,” which will visit fifty-eight cities across North America.  Keith will team with a different touring partner in each city, including superstars Sugarland and Taylor Swift, as well as Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, The Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley.

We have an album title, we have the tour title, we have the cities, we have the openers….hmmm…what are we missing???  Oh yeah…dates.  Keith, please let us know WHEN you’re coming. I need to plan ahead.
