I am so excited to ring in the new year. Even though not much changes outwardly it feels like a fresh start every year when I turn my calendar to January 1st.

Thanks for the link – the baby list was fun! We’ll have to head on over to check out The9513.com – from what you posted, we disagree with a couple of things on their list. Jewel & Jessica, disappointing? Absolutely. Darius? No freakin’ way! And we both LOVE Randy Houser’s debut album – can’t really call that a disappointment at all, at least in our eyes. Same thing with Willie Nelson’s album – LOVED it. The9513 is definitely more of a musical expert than we are and they can analyze things better – but as far as what our ears are telling us, we loved both of those albums! Happy New Year ladies!!:)
Thanks for the link as well. I thought the 9513 was a little harsh as well because I actually liked Darius Ruckers album even though it wasn’t really country and found a few good songs on Alan Jackson’s CD. The 9513 covers more of a red dirt/country/folk scene so a lot of their writers have a different outlook on the mainstream country stuff but it is the best place on the web for anyone interested in the red dirt and folk scene especially with a few of the other websites and magazines covering that shutting down.
Jewel and Jessica CD – agree with. They were both horribble for my ears. But I LOVED Keith, Darius, Randy and most of Alan Jackson. I read the 9513 for insight into the music. I normally have a lot of good things to say about them…This list just didn’t agree with my taste though. I think you are right Nashville4U they so still a lot of mainstream country. Wow I definitely do NOT agree with The 9513….I absolutely LOVE Randy Houser’s album. I thought it was one of the best this year. Alan Jack is a freakin legend. His music gets overplayed, but it’s Alan Jackson! You can’t go wrong with him! and Darius Rucker is the BEST crossover. I love his music. Basically, I thought their whole list was off. Definitely agreed with Jessica Simpson and Jewel being on there, but disagreed with most of the others. Going to check out some of the other stuff you mentioned now
