US Magazine is reporting that Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley proposed to Cassie McConnel, his girlfriend of 2 years, on Christmas morning.  (Country Girl…Kitty Cobbler…breath in….breath out…breath in…breath out). 

“Everyone is so happy for them as they are so in love,” a friend of the couple told Us on Friday. “It was only a matter of time.”

I know this takes him off the market ladies, but remember we can look, we just can’t touch.  Charles Kelley’s brother is musician Josh Kelley who is married to Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl.  That must be some Christmas gathering to propose at.  Charles must have had some audience.  Charles now-fiancee is a Nashville based publicist. 

Back in October, Country Girl and I saw Charles ride up the Dierks Bentley Miles and Music concert with a tiny blonde that I coulda fit in my pocket.  I guess the mystery has been solved.
