I said earlier in my Jessica Simpson post that she has been laying low. BUT we found a nice little southern quote from her today.
Sounds like she is excited to start touring with Rascal Flatts next month. She told the Chicago Tribune;
“I can’t wait to be a part of their show and let everyone know that I do actually sing and I’m not just in tabloids.”
She added:
“I am a very shy person, but I do believe that God has blessed me with a gift that I need to share. I always wanted to be entertaining in some way. Whether it’s cooking dinner for a best friend or [onstage], I try to do it up right.”
Try to “do it up right” huh? Personally speaking, she is just not good enough for this tour. We are talking about Rascal Flatts. One of the top grossing tours of 2008. Taylor Swift was their last opening act. I know I have said this before but…..Jessica Simpson….Really? She was booed at her first country concert. Read article here if you don’t believe me.
I frequent the Rascal Flatts message boards. I am NOT the only one that feels this way to please don’t blast me.

I sooooooo agree with you! She is not good enough to be touring with Rascal Flatts!
I think this is a very poor choice by RF. They are a huge touring act in country music and their goal has to be delivering the best show for their fans – and that includes picking the best openers to fit your show. I don’t think Jessica is even close to being good enough for this tour and I think they made a bad choice!!!
In defense of Rascal Flatts. They do not have the choice of who opens for them. The decision is made by executives. It has a lot to do with scheduling and who is available for who when. I am in full agreement that is was a really BAD choice. I wish that the boys had the opportunity to speak up and say “NO”. This is not what the fans want as a majority.
