Taylor Swift chatted it up with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show last night. She revealed that she’ll be celebrating her 19th birthday next week and she wants a boyfriend. I think a lot of guys are a tad afraid to date Taylor, knowing full-well that a song will be written about them if they make a wrong move.
Taylor also talked about growing up on a Christmas tree farm. She explained how it was her job to pick the praying mantis’ off the trees so people wouldn’t bring them into their homes. It’s nice to know that such a girly-girl isn’t afraid of bugs. I hope my 4 year old continues to look up to Taylor. Maybe she’ll stop screaming everything she sees a fly.

I like Taylor. I read all this stuff that keeps comparing her to Carrie Underwood, I guess because of sales, but she is starting to remind me more of Jessica Simpson. She, at times, can sound awful singing live, seems like a sweetheart, and talks alot about the men in or out of her life. I hope that she doesn’t define her self by the men in her life the way JS does. Just like JS that “cuteness” is fine for awhile, but it gets a little old. Please Taylor, no reality shows.
i really hope that JS comparison doesn’t become prophecy. i like her alright, although I didn’t buy her tales about the Joe Jonas breakup. Telling people she “owed it to her fans” to trash him about breaking up but not even confirm that there was a relationship isn’t right to me. she is a little boy crazy. hope she gets what (or who) she wants. But hopefully it won’t turn into another JJ mess.; that made her look a little shallow and petty.
