Nicole Kidman is a total mess. This isn’t my opinion, this comes straight from the horses mouth. In an interview with Parade Magazine, she talks about Sunday Rose, the fact that she is an emotional wreck, and how having to deal with Keith Urban’s alcoholism three months into their 2006 marriage was like “Going to hell and back.”.
“We were thrown into his alcohol problem three months into the marriage, and that was big,” she says. “We became the closest we could become, because we had to bare our souls. We did 10 years of marriage in three months. You go to hell and back with this—when the addiction takes control of the life, it’s terrifying. But there is hope, and we work on it every day, and we are in a place of actual peace right now, which is a beautiful place. I love him so deeply, and he has done an amazing amount of work, and he is an amazing husband, and I am just very, very grateful.”
While this I am sure is very informative for some, I find Nicole Kidman a little strange. Reading her quotes in this article was a little like wading through my college calculus exam, which was painful, boring, and doesn’t make much sense. Except there is no math involved. And I never actually took calculus. Other than that, same thing.

Oh poor Nicole. She couldn’t have been too concerned about her husband..2 days before Keith checked into rehab, she was shopping in Beverly Hills while he was back in Nashville pooring his heart out to Ronnie Dunn. And the 2 whole times she visited him at BFC, the paps just happened to get onto the secured facility. Then she flew off to Sydney, not even bothering to try to get back for Christmas. Keith spent his Christmas on an airplane flying there.
I have actually met Nicole…and I find that I like her with Keith. She’s very sweet and down to earth. I thought she was strange with Tom. I think they are a lovely couple and I’m glad they both found each other. Maybe it’s good you think this article is boring. That means they have “normal” lives. I know lots of people who have met Nicole and Keith and find them to be super nice people and very much in love. This was personally, one of my favorite interviews with her…SHe’s become so much more honest.
Rachel, not true of Nicole shopping in Beverly Hills. She was working in Europe and dropped everything and flew back to Nashville to be with Keith as he made the decision to enter rehab.
