Sunday was TPAC’s big debut of Conway Twitty: The Musical. Music City TV is reporting that big names were promised to be in the audience last night. Names that we would all recognize: Reba McIntryre, Barbara Mandrell, Luke Bryan and half of Montgomery Gentry. Not one of them were there!
I have not personally seen the show, well because I didn’t show last night either but it doesn’t seem to be a story that will interest most.
Even though the big names were not present last night there were a few “stars” that did show: Crystal Gayle, sister of Loretta Lynn (who is portrayed in the musical). There were also a few Opry stars: Jeannie Seely, T.G. Sheppard, Bill Anderson, Jeff Bated and Mandy Barnett.
After seeing a few of the reviews from last nights opening show I not kicking myself in the butt for not attending. It was only a one night show since they are moving it immediately out to Missouri. They say that it will make it’s way back to Nashville but again….not gonna run out to see it. Don’t think anyone missed anything worth seeing.

You did miss a fantastic show. Definitely worth seeing. Conway fans will be ecstatic!
If you had come you would have seen at least 6 standing ovations and a crowd that did’nt want to leave when the show was over………….they wanted it to start again. The entertainers who did not attend missed a great show and a wonderful tribute to someone who paved the way for their success. Kathy Twitty

Conway Twitty was the bestest singer in country music And I got to see him in person in our home town. He came here twice and put on two shows both times.
He could sure sing them love songs and others too.
And I still miss seeing him to on tv and at performaces.
